A Realtor Holiday Pep Talk
Start the Season with a Realtor Holiday Pep Talk
In this short but cheerful episode, we’re bringing you a realtor holiday pep talk to help you hit pause and enjoy the season. This time of year can feel overwhelming, but it’s also the perfect opportunity to reset. Rather than pushing through another educational episode, we’re encouraging you to rest, enjoy your family, and reflect on what you’re thankful for. Real estate agents often struggle with always being “on,” but this week, take our advice: be off.
Flip Report Update: Progress on the Renovation
Before we get into holiday mindset, we had to share one last Flip Report! The update includes closet clean-outs, heavy built-ins removed, crown molding installed, beams placed, and floors sanded. Cabinets are underway, and everything seems to be running smoothly. The listing is targeted for December 1—just in time for the holiday season!
Encouragement to Take a Real Break
This week, we want you to take an actual break. Don’t worry about work, client follow-ups, or marketing strategies. You deserve time to rest. Everyone is out and about anyway—using up vacation days, traveling, spending time with loved ones. So if they’re out, you should be out, too. This is your permission slip to relax.
Holiday Traditions and Family Moments
We also share our personal holiday plans, including decorating early (yes, even before Thanksgiving), baking cookies, and spending meaningful time with family. Katie’s already texting her Christmas light guy, and Alyssa’s daughter Haven is getting ready to play Mary in the school nativity. These small joys are part of what make this season magical.
Revisiting a Fan Favorite: Episode 15
As part of your holiday recharge, we’re replaying one of our most-loved episodes: Episode 15, “Communicating with Your Database for the Holidays.” It’s filled with creative and simple ideas for connecting with your clients during the holiday season without overcomplicating things. Think Christmas cards, coffee giveaways, and quick pop-bys.
Practical Holiday Marketing Tips for Realtors
This realtor holiday pep talk wouldn’t be complete without real ideas you can implement—after the holiday break. Here are a few we discuss:
-
Christmas Cards: Personal or professional, they’re an easy way to stay top of mind.
-
Starbucks Gift Card Giveaway: Share a digital gift card in a private group or email and let your past clients enjoy a treat on you.
-
Pop-Bys: Deliver small, thoughtful items like tape and wrapping paper (“Thanks for helping me wrap up another great year!”), cocoa kits, or scratch-off tickets.
-
Thanksgiving Pie Pick-Up: Invite past clients to your office to pick up a pie—fun and efficient.
-
Social Media Contests: Host a gingerbread house competition or 12 Days of Giveaways.
Track Your Year-End Business and Reflect
We wrap up with encouragement to evaluate your business sources. Where did your closings come from? What referral sources sent you the most business? This reflection helps you plan strategically for the new year—and show appreciation to the people who helped build your business.
You Deserve Rest and Joy
So here’s your gentle realtor holiday pep talk one more time: don’t overdo it. Take this week to slow down. Bake, decorate, snuggle up with your kids, or do absolutely nothing. You’ve earned it. We’ll be here next week with more motivation and ideas, but for now, enjoy the holidays guilt-free.
